Four years! On September 7th, 2012, Katelyn and I opened the doors to CrossFit Forte. In some ways, it feels like it was forever ago, and in others it feels like yesterday. We thought we had a good idea of what we were getting into, but really, we had no idea. The amount we have grown as people and as a business is crazy to think about. It has been anything but easy. And that's good. I wouldn't have it any other way. Easy is for the We'd like to thank all of our members and staff for helping create the special place we call CrossFit Forte. Here's to many more years.

4 years! On September 7th, 2012, Katelyn and I opened the doors to CrossFit Forte – back when we were on Fogg Street in a 2500 square foot facility (not much bigger than our lobby).  In some ways, it feels like it was forever ago, and in other ways it feels like yesterday. Thanks to everyone who has helped make CrossFit Forte the special and incredible place it is now – so many awesome people and such a great community. We are in a constant pursuit of excellence, so we cannot wait to see what the future holds. Here’s to many, many more years!

Workout of the Day

A.
Push Press
Every 3 minutes, for 12 minutes (4 sets): 2 push presses at 88%
(or 5-10 lbs heavier than your last PP session)

B.
V-ups
After each set of push presses: 30 seconds of V-ups
Score will be total reps

C.
“Fran”
21-15-9 rep rounds of:
Thrusters (95 / 65)
Pull-ups

Last done: May 5, 2016

Fran is a barn burner! It is meant to be FAST! To get the right stimulus out of this workout, it needs to be a sprint. Choose a load on the thruster that allows you to complete each round in no more than 2 sets. If you have pull-ups, but not the prescribed number, start with the reps you have each round, then proceed with jumping chest to bar pull-ups. If you don’t have pull-ups quite yet, jumping pull-ups (chest to bar if possible) it is. Go hard and go fast!
